PLEASE READ THE FOLLOWING INFORMATION ABOUT MAKING YOUR RESERVATION AND OUR RENTAL POLICIES.
RESERVATIONS: Can easily be made online, or by calling our reservations desk during regular office hours which are 9-5 daily. Online reservations require the acceptance of terms and conditions and valid credit card information. By submitting your reservation you are stating that you have read and understood Mammoth Creek’s Rental Policies. A cleaning fee is charged for your stay according to the unit size.
PAYMENTS AND BALANCE DUE: A 50% deposit is due at the time of the booking. If you are paying by check your deposit is due within 7 days of making your reservation. A credit card is still required to guarantee the reservation. If your deposit has not been received by the due date, your reservation will be cancelled without notice. For holidays, and peak summer periods, payment in full is due 30 days prior to arrival.
CANCELLATIONS: All reservations are subject to a $150 cancellation fee. If you cancel within 2 weeks (30 days for Holiday) of your arrival date, we must first re-rent the unit before any refund will be made. If we are able to re-rent the condo we will then refund your money, less the cancellation fee.
No refunds for early departure
WEATHER RELATED PROBLEMS: We will allow a guest to re-book a reservation up to 3 months from the original date.WE DO NOT OFFERER REFUNDS FOR WEATHER ISSUES. If you cancel in full and do not re-book we will charge the equalivelant of a 1 night stay plus taxes.
HOLIDAY RESERVATIONS: Full payment is due 30 days prior to arrival for all holidays. You can mail a check to our PO Box in Mammoth Lakes or we can charge your card. No refunds on holiday reservations unless the unit can be re-rented. There is still a $150 cancellation fee even if the unit is re-rented.
CHECKS: Again, if you are sending in a personal check, it must be received within 7 days of making the reservation. If it is not received by that date the reservation is automatically cancelled without notice.

SECURITY DEPOSIT: Your credit card is on file as a security deposit. It will be charged for any damages done to the unit, or common area, or in the case of excessive cleaning to the unit after your departure.
CHECK-IN: Arrival check-in is 4:00 PM or later on the arrival date. If you are unable to check-in before our offices close, please call for late arrival instructions. You will be provided directions to the unit, key code, or keys upon arrival and payment in full.
CHECK-OUT: Check-out time is 10 AM on the date of departure. Please observe this rule as housekeeping staff needs time to prepare the unit for the next guests.
RENTER MAY BE CHARGED UP TO ONE (1) ADDITIONAL NIGHT RENTAL IF UNIT IS OCCUPIED AFTER CHECK-OUT TIME.
Renter is responsible for leaving the unit in a like arrival condition upon departure. Please secure all windows and doors, wash dishes, and clean out the refrigerator. Trash should be placed in either the location designated in the guest services guide or trash bags placed in rubbish containers provided on the property. Leave used beds unmade. Unless otherwise designated, keys should be placed in the key drop at the check-in location. If your rental requires extra cleaning because it is left in a condition unlike arrival, you may be charged an additional cleaning fee.
TAXES: Tax payments required by the California include Sales and Local Lodging Accommodation Taxes, where applicable. All rates are subject to Bed tax and Tourism Business Improvement District (TBID) tax which is currently 14%.
PETS: Absolutely no pets are permitted. IF AN UNAUTHORIZED PET HAS BEEN IN ANY RENTAL, THERE WILL BE A MINIMUM CHARGE OF $250.00.
SMOKING: No smoking is permitted in any Mammoth Creek Rental Units. If smoking occurs, a minimum $250.00 cleaning charge will be assessed.
AGE REQUIREMENT FOR RENTERS: Renter acknowledges that he/she is an adult of 21 years of age or older and take responsibility for the unit.
MAXIMUM OCCUPANCY: Overcrowding beyond the occupancy limit specified for the unit including children, may not be exceeded and IT IS A CRIME. Penal Code No. 537 makes it a crime to defraud an innkeeper.
Should this situation arise your license to occupy the unit will be revoked and you will be evicted. You will not be permitted to occupy the unit and no refund will be made. It is at the discretion of the management whether or not to file charges.
FIREPLACES and WEATHER: All of the vacation units have wood burning fireplaces with firewood and are for use during cold weather only (October 1 – May 31). We can only guarantee you a condo. We cannot guarantee that the fireplace or fireplace inserts will not break down during your stay and therefore, no refunds or adjustments will be made for mechanical failure. Furthermore, there will be no refunds or adjustment made for any other unexpected situations beyond our control such as rodents, bugs, weather, road, snow conditions and the like. We reserve the right to transfer a reservation to a comparable unit in the event of an unforeseen problem.
POOLS, SAUNA AND JACUZZI: We DO NOT provide towels for the spa or pool. Please bring your own. Hot tub temperatures are set between 102 and 104 degrees. Children should not stay in hot tubs for extended periods. Pools are set between generally recommended temperatures of 80 and 84 degrees. No glass or glass containers are permitted in hot tubs and pools. We can only guarantee you a condo. We cannot guarantee that the pool sauna and jacuzzi will not break down during your stay and therefore, no refunds or adjustments will be made for mechanical failure. Furthermore, there will be no refunds or adjustment made for any other unexpected situations beyond our control such as rodents, bugs, bats, weather, road, fire, smoke, snow conditions and the control such as rodents, bugs, bats, weather, road, snow conditions and the like. CONDITION OF UNIT: We make every effort to ensure that all equipment within each unit is in working order. Please report any inoperative equipment to our office immediately. In the event of a breakdown, we will strive to repair it as soon as possible after being notified of a problem. We can only guarantee you a condo. We cannot guarantee that the televisions, appliance, etc. will not break down during your stay and therefore, no refunds or adjustments will be made for mechanical failure. Furthermore, there will be no refunds or adjustment made for any other unexpected situations beyond our control such as rodents, bugs, bats, weather, road, snow conditions and the control such as rodents, bugs, bats, weather, road, snow conditions, fire,smoke and the like. ITEMS LEFT BEHIND AND LOCK OUT: Mammoth Creek is not responsible for articles lost, stolen or left behind in units. Please double-check for personal items prior to your departure. There is a $50 return item fee plus the cost of mailing to return left behind items. There is a service call charge for lock outs.
LOCKOFFS: Please respect these locked closets, cabinets, or rooms. They are NOT INCLUDED as part of your rental. They are the private property of the owners and not for rental use.
RESTRICTIONS: Renters are required to abide by rules and regulations for the unit in which they stay. A guest services guide is located in the unit and includes applicable rules and regulations along with guidelines for the rental unit use, check-out procedures, emergency numbers, and other pertinent information. NO motorhome, boat, or camper parking on the premises unless granted prior permission. Limited parking with prior permission.
